I am a Clinical Counsellor and Coach who specializes in Grief, Trauma, Suicide, Attachment Theory, Emotional Regulation, Core Wounds/Limiting Beliefs, and Subconscious Reprogramming. I offer online Telehealth sessions for individuals, and couples. My approach is solution-focused, emotion-focused, trauma-informed, empathetic, non-judgmental, and authentic.

In sessions, I help clients understand their personal psychology, attachment style, and subconscious programming. With specific tools and methods we will first work to identify core wounds, belief patterns, relationship needs and expectations, emotional patterns, boundaries, communication patterns, and behavioural coping mechanisms. Then we will begin to actively reprogram your subconscious beliefs in session and continued outside of session. The psychological knowlegde and actionable skills you will learn in sessions will assist you throughout your lifetime.

I have specialty training in Attachment Theory, Relationships, Subconscious Reprogramming, Somatic Experiencing/Therapy, Trauma, PTSD, C-PTSD, Abuse, Internal Family Systems, Parts Work, as well as, CBT, DBT, Existential Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Solution-Focused Therapy, Grief Counselling, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness-Based Therapy, Meditation, Breathwork, Psychoanalytic Therapy, Humanistic Therapy, Family Therapy, Gestalt Therapy, Animal-Assisted Therapy, and Sound Therapy.

Immersive in-person group breathwork sessions based on Holotropic Breathwork. Sessions last for approximately 2 hours. There is a short orientation talk, followed by preparation - movement, somatic experiencing techniques, guided meditation, and a short soundbath. This helps us land in our bodies and space together before we begin. We then settle into the breathwork session which is led by deeper faster breathing, and powerful, evocative music that has been carefully curated to help quiet the thinking mind and access your inner guiding intelligence. This type of breathwork is deep and fosters altered-states of consciousness. During the session, the unconscious comes to the conscious - past memories, emotions, stuck blocks, old limiting patterns and beliefs, as well as, solutions, creativity, and inspiration can come up. It will give you what you need. Sometimes that is less of the processing and more of a deeply restful yoga nidra state. This is the point - to trust and surrender to what is offered up - to witness, process, move-through, move-beyond, and integrate. The Default Mode Network quiets which allows you to really observe what comes up. Your inner guiding intelligence knows what you're ready to look at. feel into, and process. AND if it ever feels like too much, you are taught how to change your breathing so that you come back into the Pre-Frontal Cortex and out of the altered-state. You are always in control which provides a comforting level of safety. This breathwork produces similar outcomes to psychedelic-assisted journeys, without the psycho-active agent. It is all natural. After the session, you will be gently guided back to the group for integration. If you feel called to share with the group, you are absolutely welcomed to, but it is not mandatory. This is a trauma-informed space empowering you to honour what feels right for you. Nothing is forced during the session, only suggested. You are the expert of you. I am there with you to hold safe space, to facilitate and help integrate, and to nurture the respectful, compassionate, confidential, loving container we build as a group. What is shared in the group, stays in the group.

Important Note
Confidentiality is important in these sessions so that all participants feel safe to share their experiences and be fully self-expressed during their breathing sessions. In order to be allowed to participate in these sessions, you must agree to not discuss any other participant's experience or anything that another person shares in a way in which that participant can in any way be identified and also to not audio or video tape any portion of the session. Respect and kindness are non-negotiables. This is deep work that takes courage and vulnerability. Safety is top priority and anything less than respect and loving kindness will not be tolerated.

If you are a first time participant, to prepare for the session, it is required to read the document titled "Preparatory Information For First Time Participants". This will be emailed to you after you book.

You can sit or lay down in a comfortable position during the session. Thick yoga mats, soft rugs, blankets, eye-masks, tissues, and silent disco headphones are provided for the session. Please bring water, 2-3 pillows (one for head, one for under knees, and one to punch or cry into), and an extra blanket if you run cold. It is ideal to do Breathwork when your stomach is not too full. It is suggested to not eat anything at least 60 minutes before your session if possible, or if you do, to eat something light.

Breathwork results in certain specific physiological changes in the body and can also result in intense physical and emotional release. Therefore, for safety purposes, we do not allow persons with the following conditions to participate in a breathwork session:

Medical Contraindications:
History of Aneurysms. Asthma ( you can participate but please bring your inhaler). Cardiovascular Disease and/or irregularities including prior heart attack. Detached Retina. Epilepsy. Glaucoma. High Blood Pressure that is not controlled with medication. History of Strokes or Seizures. Severe Osteoporosis. Pregnancy. Prescription blood thinning/anti-clotting medications such as Coumadin.
Psychiatric Contraindications:

PTSD (Okay to attend if you have a solid support system in place - health professionals, counselling support, etc). Any other medical, psychiatric or physical conditions which would impair or affect ability to engage in activities involving intense physical and/or emotional release.

Please email if you are at all unsure whether one or more of the above apply to you.
